Collection of data
Your fitness journal contains personal information. We have gone to great lengths to protect your privacy. At the time of registration we collect some basic information about your age, height, weight, sex, and geographic location. In a standard Fitness Journal account, your information is never shared with any 3rd party. If you have a managed account (where your journal is managed by a coach, personal trainer, doctor, etc) your information will be visible to your account manager.

Within your fitness journal you may choose to share information with other Fitness Journal community members. You must activate your account sharing from the account settings menu in order to allow other people to view your workout summary information. You may choose to participate in a public discussion board within Fitness Journal. Any comments made within the discussion board will be published internally as part of ongoing member discussions, and externally as part of a read-only version of the discussion board. We do not share your email address or maintain a regular mailing list. From time to time, we may contact you via email or phone in order to provide account support.

Information collected during registration is done so via 128 bit SSL encryption. We run a secure SSL certificates during the registration process. We also offer optional secure SSL journal access. Payment processing and transaction records are processed within the Verisign payment system only
